I had no clue you had to pay license for television. Ikkk. My site was actually copied this year by some company that says its country can’t access blogs. Very hard to communicate with them and take my site off theirs. But I know what ya mean. Was anything of yours copied this year? If next year is for the video making blogs I do feel many of us will be out in the cold as you put it but hopefully our readers will stick with us and bring in a few friends.
The BBC has no advertising and so its only revenue is selling its programs and the TV license, its a fair trade off, we get good TV with no adverts on the beeb and the choice of commercial channels which are free to watch but with adverts, the final option is paying for satellite or cable to get loads of channels that still have adds!
Our main blog at Venture Skills probably has about 20% of its content scrapped, after reporting this reduces down to about 10% luckily both wordpress.com and blogspot have good policies regarding splogs and take complaints seriously and so if the splog is on one of their sites it usually down in a matter of hours.
I don’t think writers will be out in the cold for long, video blogging is still a gimmick though it will grow I have no doubt the written word will be with us for a long time to come!
